Phone manufacturers have been waking up to the fact that none of us have much money to spend these days, and many of them now offer budget phones as well as their top-of-the-range models. These are lower spec, but still offer most of the features you'd expect of a smartphone - internet access, email, camera etc - but are proving to be extremely popular with customers. Nokia even reported earlier this year that it's budget phone, the Asha, has been outselling its high-end Lumia models by 2 to 1.
In addition, some of the phones that were trail-blazers a few years ago are still available, and although they've been superseded by later models, they're still decent phones.
